A baseball player who is about to play in the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania is fighting for his life after falling from a bunk bed.

Spencer Beck, Easton Oliverson's uncle, said that his nephew sustained a fractured skull in the incident.

Beck told the sports website. Oliverson fell out of the bed and hit his head. He underwent an emergency surgery.

Beck and the rest of the family are optimistic that Oliverson will make a recovery, despite the fact that he is currently in a medically induced coma.

Beck said that he was a good kid. Full of smiling faces." We're all praying for him because he's a fun kid.

"At the request of his family, Little League International encourages all to join us in keeping the Snow Canyon Little League player and his family in our thoughts and prayers, as we wish for a full and complete recovery."

All available resources, including those provided by UPMC in North Central Pa., will be used to support the player, his family, and his coaches and teammates, as we navigate this unfortunate situation.

Oliverson's team said in a statement that it will compete in its first game of the World Series on Friday, despite the fact that Oliverson's father wanted them to stop.

The team said in the statement that they are committed to taking part in something that is only dreamt about by others.

Beck says the family has set up a Venmo account for Oliverson to help with medical expenses.
