The Bidens are on a family vacation in South Carolina and the first lady tested positive for Covid-19.
The East Room of the White House will be open on February 2, 2022.
According to a statement from Elizabeth Alexander, the communications director of the Office of the First Lady, Biden started to feel unwell late Monday night.
A test came back positive after Biden tested negative twice earlier that day.
A course of Paxlovid has been prescribed to the first lady.
The White House said that Biden is currently at a private residence in South Carolina and that she will be isolated from other people for at least five days.
It was expected that the Bidens and their relatives would be in South Carolina for seven days. According to the Associated Press, White House officials said that Joe andJill would stay at a friend's house on the island where they have previously been on vacations. Biden was pictured shopping with her granddaughter Finnegan Biden and her daughter-in-law. Joe Biden was isolated for weeks after testing positive for Covid-19.
