Bill Gates on Tuesday called for better cooperation among countries to fight the global health "crisis" brought on by the Covid-19 Pandemic, a plea that comes as developed nations look to roll out booster shots and pull back on restrictions.
The Associated Press reported that Gates said there was a need to build more partnerships to help resolve global health challenges.
The Microsoft co- founder called on South Korea to take leadership on the issue and said its pledge to donate $200 million to the U.N-backed COVAX vaccine sharing program will help tackle the inequalities fighting Covid-19.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will expand its partnership with the South Korean government.
Gates met with the president of South Korea to discuss the development of the country's own Covid-19 vaccine.
Gates told Forbes that the Covid-19 epidemic is worse than people think.

The Gates foundation is supporting the development of a vaccine by the pharmaceutical unit of South Korea's second largest business conglomerate. In countries with poor healthcare infrastructure, the vaccine in the form of a spray would be easier to give.
The Gates Foundation has given over a billion dollars to fight the swine flu. The COVAX vaccine distribution program gets more than 200 million dollars in funding. A transfer of $20 billion was announced last month by the billionaire and his ex- wife.
Gates is looking at a partnership with South Korea.
