A court has heard that Ryan Giggs' ex-girlfriend was injured when he headbutted her.
The prepared statements were read in court.

I had no choice but to call the cops. I went to the utility room to pick up hers.
She gave me my phone and I decided to keep it. I should not have done this.
The ex-Wales and Manchester United star said he was going to call the police but then Kate Greville grabbed his hand and a fight broke out.
He said that during the altercation his head clashed with Kate's. I don't know if it was the face or head, but I am certain it was not intentional.
Both sisters were hurt in the fight and Mr. Giggs regretted that the argument got so out of hand.
Emma Greville told the court that Mr Giggs headbutted her sister before turning to her and saying: "I'll headbutt you next."

He told police that Ms Greville tried to control his relationship when she was jealous of his contact with other females.
She wrongly accused me of having an affair and ordered me to send her messages.
The content of the messages was dictated by her.
He said that he would be scared of the publicity that would be generated.
He said it would be "preposterous" for Ms Greville to believe that a threat would be carried out.
Louisa Ham, an old university friend of Kate Greville, told the court how she met up with her and two other friends over lunch.
Ms Greville was on the phone a lot during the lunch according to Ms Ham.
