The Morning After: Russia teases its own space station ahead of leaving the ISS

Mir was Russia's last self-run space station. Russia's space agency shared a model of its future station as it prepares to leave the International Space Station. ROSS would start with four modules and expand to six with a service platform. The design would accommodate four people in rotating tours and provide better monitoring of Earth than Russia gets from the International Space Station.

Russia is expected to leave the International Space Station in 2024 according to state media claims. In response to sanctions and other measures, it left the International Space Station in July.
