The Department of Justice is investigating whether Trump mishandled classified documents that he kept at his Mar-a-Lago residence.
The FBI removed 11 sets of classified documents when they executed a search warrant on the property. The Espionage Act is one of the laws the Justice Department is looking into.
15 boxes of documents were removed from the property.
Trump denied wrongdoing and claimed that he had declassified all the documents in his home. If he is found guilty of violating the Espionage Act, he will be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
