The Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns will reignite their rivalry after their entertaining seven-game series in the Western Conference Semifinals.
According to Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic, the two teams will play each other on October 19th.
The Mavericks advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in six years. The Suns were the best team in the league and entered the playoffs as the top seed. When the team opened its series against Dallas with back-to-back wins, it looked like it was back to its old self.
The Mavs went on to win the next two games. Things fell apart for the Suns in the next two games after they were up by 30 in Game 5.
The Mavs won at home in the 6th and 7th games of the series, and then went back to Phoenix and won 123-90 in the 7th game. The final two games of the series were won by the Suns. Luka Doncic put the Mavs on his back with a couple of big games.
Phoenix will be looking for revenge after it was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. The Suns retained their entire core, with veteran point guard Chris Paul returning for another run and young center Deandre Ayton re-signing.
