According to a source, Carl Nassib agreed to a one-year deal with the Bucs.

Gill was hurt in the first preseason game. Pierre-Paul wasn't re-signed by the team this year, with Joe Tryon-Shoyinka taking his place.

Nassib, along with Anthony Nelson, can serve in a rotation role for the team.

Nassib spent the previous two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, starting five of 17 games and recording four sacks, eight tackles for a loss, 33 combined tackles, five passes defensed, an intercept and a forced fumbled ball.

Nassib played for Todd Bowles in the first year of his defense under Bruce Arians, and they're back together in the same city. Nassib has been praised for his work ethic, attitude, intelligence and passion for football by his coach.

Nassib was the first openly gay player in the National Football League. He pledged $100,000 to the project during his announcement. Nassib promised to match all donations up to $100,000 to commemorate Pride month.
