Rudy Giuliani's attorney told the New York Times that his client is a target of a Georgia grand jury investigation into election interference.
The Fulton County District Attorney launched an investigation into Giuliani in February of 2021.
The special grand jury in Atlanta is expected to hear from Giuliani on Monday.
The former New York mayor is likely to invoke attorney-client privilege when asked about his interactions with Trump.
In a reply to Forbes, Costello confirmed the Times report.
According to the New York Times, Costello said that people are delusional if they think he will talk about conversations with Trump.
On the same day, a federal judge ruled that Lindsey Graham must testify before the Georgia grand jury. The panel has subpoenaed a number of people close to Trump.
Giuliani is under investigation for spreading false allegations of voter fraud to state lawmakers after the 2020 presidential election. The conspiracy was perpetuated by Giuliani in several states. A judge in Georgia ordered Giuliani to appear before the jury this week after he tried to push back the date and appear via video because of a medical issue. Giuliani tried to prevent the panel from issuing a subpoena to him. A separate grand jury would need to indict Trump or anyone else involved in order for a report to be issued by the special grand jury. The prosecutors of the panel asked witnesses about Giuliani's meetings with state lawmakers after the election. The House January 6 committee shared clips of Giuliani appearing before Georgia lawmakers and promoting false claims that Donald Trump won the state of Georgia in 2020.
