The sixth and fifth developer previews of the upcoming iPadOS 16 and iOS 16 updates were released by Apple today, a week after the release of the fifth developer preview.

The iOS and iPadOS 16 profiles can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center by registered developers.

A new level of personalization and customization is offered by the Lock Screen in the new version of Apple's mobile operating system. Similar to watch faces, multiple lock screens can be associated with focus modes.

Focus is easier to set up than before and has filters to cut out distraction in apps. The Messages app now has tools for editing iMessages, unsending iMessages, and marking messages as unread, as well as support for SharePlay, which is similar to the one used by FaceTime.

If you haven't gotten a response to an email, the Mail app will remind you to check it out. Passkeys, a more secure way to log in to accounts, is being worked on by Apple.

Live Text is supported in video and can be used to share photos with family and friends. There's a new feature that allows you to lift the subject from a background with a tap.

The Home app has been completely overhauled with a new look. The new Stage Manager feature on the iPad is limited to the M1 iPad.

The battery percentage was brought back to the status bar on the iPhones that have a notch, as well as new sounds for locating the phone via Find My.

There are a lot of new features in both iPadOS 16 and Apple's mobile operating system.
