The meat pizza is being recalled due to the possibility of metal pieces in the food.
The Home Run Inn brand of frozen pizzas was recalled by the USDA on August 14th.
The products being recalled were manufactured in June of 2022. Home Run Inn Chicago's Premium PizzeriaDeluxe Sausage Classic Pizza has a best-by date of December 3, 2022.
The package will have an establishment number. The mark of inspection is 18498-A.
Consumers reported that metal had been found in the pizza when they complained to the distributor. There have been no reports of injuries or adverse reactions.
Pizzas were sent to a distributor in Illinois and then distributed to other retailers across the country, according to the FSIS.
If you have these products in your freezer, the agency encourages you to throw them out or return them to their place of purchase. The pizzas should not be sold by distributors.
