The health and safety protocols of the Carnival Cruise Line were updated on Saturday.
The cruise line said in a statement that it is eliminating pre-cruise testing for unvaccinated guests in order to meet public health standards.
There are updated protocols.
Accused guests need to provide proof of their vaccine status before they are allowed to leave. Only cruises to Canada, Bermuda, Greece, and Australia are required to have pre-cruise testing.
Unvaccinated guests are not required to apply for a vaccine exemption for cruises in Australia or on voyages of 16 nights and longer.
Guests who are unvaccinated must present the results of a negative test within three days of their arrival.
Policies are subject to local rules.
When sailing from the United States to Australia, guests under the age of five are free of vaccinations and testing.
Our ships have been sailing very full all summer, but there is still room for more of our loyal guests, and these guidelines will make it a simpler process, and make cruising accessible for those who were not able to meet the protocols we were required to follow. There are a lot of things happening, with Carnival luminosa and Carnival Celebration joining our fleet in November. Whatever the ship, homeport or itinerary that works for you, our great onboard team is ready to deliver a fun vacation.
Vaccination and testing requirements will be the same for voyages of 16 nights and longer. Carnival has requirements for long voyages and destination specific protocols. There is a page on carnival.com.
Last week, Royal Caribbean updated its health and safety protocols.
