Weta Workshop is making its own Lord of the Rings game

The workshop is going back to Middle-earth. A new Lord of the Rings game is being worked on. The Private Division of Take-Two hopes to release the game in the fiscal year that ends in March 2024, though no details have been released.

According to a press release, Weta Workshop has the broadest creative license to interpret the lore of the books. "It's a privilege to create a new game set in Middle-earth, especially one that's so different from what fans have played previously." Middle-earth in a way they never have before, and introducing new fans to the magic of The Lord of the Rings are some of the things we are excited for.

There have been many Lord of the Rings games over the years, so it will be interesting to see what kind of new game Weta Workshop is planning. Weta workshop has a lot of experience in this area. It worked on The Lord of the Rings movies. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is a project that the special effects powerhouse is working on. The Outer Worlds is one of the games that Private Division has published.
