The Justice Department's investigation of top- secret documents kept at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence could land him in jail, according to a vocal critic of the former President.

The FBI searched Trump's Florida home last week for classified documents, and according to Conway, it was likely that the former president would be indicted for his actions.

The investigation with the documents is the shortest distance between Donald Trump and orange jumpsuits.

There hasn't been anything approaching a rational, logical defense.

The documents Trump kept at Mar-a-Lago could be used to the detriment of the US, and the former president wouldn't give them back, so a conviction would need to be ensured.

The facts are what he did.

There was no valid reason for Trump to hold on to those documents.

"He's just a man who thinks everything belongs to him, and he thought it was fine to hold on to the documents, no matter what they said," she said.

11 sets of classified documents were taken from Mar-a-Lago by the FBI after they searched the property last week. The Espionage Act is one of the laws being investigated by the Justice Department. If convicted, violators of the act can be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.

There were 15 boxes of documents removed from the property. Trump claimed without proof that he had declassified all the documents.

In an interview with CNN on Saturday, she slammed those who were defending Trump.

"He's in serious legal trouble," she said. If an assistant to the president had done this, we would be charged.
