He is back in Cincinnati.
Cincinnati's quarterback practiced for the first time. After having his appendix removed, Burrow wore his orange No. 9 jersey and participated in several drills.
The work he did in team drills was more strenuous than he anticipated.
Taylor talked about doing two reps in 7-on-7. He took ten. Sometimes it goes that way.
When he did some light tosses last Monday, it was his most notable work of the day.
On Sunday, he decided to increase his limit.
The reps were taken during that drill. The workload on the rest of the team's quarterbacks was reduced because of that.
There were two long completions, one to a veteran receiver and the other to a young man. Ja'Marr Chase said that the quarterback brought positive energy to practice as he took what the defense was willing to allow.
Chase, who played with Burrow at LSU, said that every pass he threw was called out before he threw it. I don't think I'm missing anything.
The third-year quarterback wasn't the only one making progress. For the first time, a wide receiver took part in drills. With Jackson Carman out, Cordell Volson became the starting left guard.
Last season's success that featured a Super Bowl run is what Cincinnati is hoping to duplicate. The top overall pick in the 2020 draft completed 70.4% of his passes for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdown and 14 pick ups as the Bengal played for the title.
The timetable for Burrow's practice acclimation after his appendix surgery has not been released. Taylor wasn't sure when Burrow would return to full involvement.
He was with his friends. It was the first time that all of the players from last year's Super Bowl run practiced together.
"As soon as we got in the huddle, I said, 'Hmm,'" said the man. We're back!
