After a non-contact injury, Wilson is sent to the locker room. It was 0: 36.

The New York Jets said it depends on the outcome of Wilson's surgery.

"We're optimistic, but he's not out of the woods until they get in there and make the decision on how to handle the knee," Robert said.

Sources said Saturday that Wilson will be out for two to four weeks with a bone bruise and torn knee cap. The projection was made using an magnetic resonance image. A source said that the current belief is that there is only a "trim" to the knee.

The team is hopeful that it won't be longer than four weeks, but it won't give an absolute until the scope is done by Neal El Attrache, the team physician for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mekhi Becton is expected to miss the entire season due to a knee injury.

The Jets were relieved to hear that Wilson's injury isn't season ending, but they acknowledged that it could affect his development early in the season. He will miss the last two preseason games and joint practices with the Falcons and Giants.

He's missing an opportunity to get the reps in, to play other defenses, especially the Giants, who have such an elaborate pressure-package system. He has to get used to it, like he did when he was hurt.

The timing of it all is terrible, but I think he has an opportunity to grow from it.

Wilson, who was drafted second overall in 2021, missed four games as a first-year player due to a PCL injury in his right knee, the same knee he hurt against the Eagles on a noncontact play.

Wilson was a little down after the game, but he got better by Sunday, according to backup Joe Flacco.

"I think, considering what happened, we got pretty good news," said Flacco, who has started only 13 games since being benched in 2018? He's in good spirits.

It will most likely be Wilson against the Ravens, since there will be a ramp-up period. The organization has to be careful not to rush him back, as it is a valid issue that will be discussed once the surgery is over, said Saleh.

A new look offensive line will be behind the quarterback. Brown was signed to a two-year, $22 million contract by the team. There was a question as to where he'd line up, but he will stay on the left side.

Brown's contract is expected to be signed Sunday night. He should practice this week.

George Fant is going to be moved to right tackle. The coaches gushed about Fant's performance last year. At the beginning of training camp, they moved Becton to right tackle to make room for him.

Fant had previously stated that he preferred to be a left tackle. He has excelled on the left side. Fant has not had a chance to play right tackle in the Jets' current scheme. They think this scheme will accentuate his skills.

Brown has started at left tackle in all 203 games he has played.

Fant is seeking a contract extension. He is very athletic. He's a team man. He just wants a place to live.
