  • The OnePlus chief shared images of what appears to be the hinge mechanism of a foldable device.
  • OnePlus Fold has been making the rounds since the OPPO Find N debuted last year.

Other manufacturers are competing in the foldable phone race. The foldable segment appears to be getting closer to being a reality, as evidenced by the recent announcements ofXiaomi andMotoman.

A few months after the launch of the Find N, there were rumors of a foldable phone from the OnePlus. There have been no leaks showing what the foldable phone looks like.

Pete Lau, the CEO and co-founder of the company, took to the social networking site to share a picture of a foldable device.

We don't know what the device will be called. There is further confirmation that a foldable device is in the works, thanks to the tweet. Gary Chen, the software lead for the company, said last February that the company was entering the foldable race.

The OPPO Find N was rumored to be the basis for the foldable phone from OnePlus. The merger of the R&D departments of the two companies is unsurprising. It's a good bet that the best foldable phone will be a duplicate of the Find N.

The foldable device from OPPO is more popular than the one from the OnePlus. The foldable will be released in 2023, as the company is currently focused on fixing software issues and consolidating its position in the budget and mid-range segments.
