At least five Americans were injured in a shooting on a bus near the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Sunday just a week after Israel and Palestinian militant agreed on a truce in the Gaza Strip.

According to CNN, five Americans are being treated at hospitals in Jerusalem, and four of them are members of the same family.

According to CNN, two of the victims are in serious condition, including a pregnant woman who had to have an emergency caesarean.

The suspect, who is a resident of Jerusalem and has a criminal record, turned himself in and is being questioned by police.

There is no Palestinian group that is responsible for the attack.

Kathy Hochul said Sunday that a family of New Yorkers was affected by the Jerusalem attack and that the state condemns terror and stands with the Israelis.

More than 40 Palestinians, including children, were killed in three days of fighting in the Gaza Strip, according to local officials. In the past year, it has been the most deadly event in Gaza. Hamas is the largest militant group in the Gaza Strip.
