The technology company's presentation at its Fall Unpacked event has been replaced by something else. The latest in folding phones, high-end earbuds, and the next generation of Wear OS 3 were shown to us.

I was not impressed by the presentation. This isn't to say the new devices won't be impressive, but I was hoping for a bigger change in the SAMSUNG GALAXY WATCH 5 SERIES.

Less of a leap, more of a tiptoe

Many of us had been waiting for the good hardware of a Wear OS device, and the good hardware of theGalaxy Watch 4 series gave us that. There was more to it than just being another Wear OS watch. Until recently, it was the only company that offered Wear OS 3.

This is the reason why the watch has let me down. I didn't bother to trade in my watch for the new one because the announcement was so boring.

The OS isn't the reason I'm disappointed with the new Wearables. In my opinion, the top-end watch was made worse by the lack of changes between watch generations.

The style of the watches isn't all bad since they look almost identical. The watch is still a must- buy. There is a slightly larger battery, a larger display cover, increased skin contact for the BIA sensor, and a new temperature sensor on the standard GALAXY WATCH 5. You get last year's processor, a heavier watch, the same storage and memory, and a higher price.

Last year's Watch 4 series was not good for battery life, and was one of the reasons I returned it, so we will have to wait and see if the battery life is better with the new watch. The temperature sensor could be interesting to see what third-party apps do with it, but it could end up being a waste of time.

An unearned name

The really expensive option is the SAMSUNG GALAXY WATCH 5 PRO. The first Pro option is what we will get instead of a Classic variation.

When the product doesn't seem to earn it after the presentation, I don't mind using the Pro name.

The Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro are the same watch despite the change from aluminum to titanium. Some people may benefit from the benefits of the titanium. The cost is not going to be worth it for most.

The difference between the batteries is significant. The Watch 5 Pro has a bigger battery than last year's Watch 4 Classic and the 44mm watch.

The part that frustrates me the most is the positioning of the Pro as a watch that can be used to explore the world. It doesn't have some of the features that competitors have. It's possible that the other brands don't have the BioActive sensor. The Pro should give more with a base price of $450.

You can't say your watch is perfect for outdoor excursions, charge $450+, and not have a display that is always visible.

The screen is one of the biggest problems. Many of the best phones on the market use some of the most impressive displays provided by SAMSUNG. If the Always On Display feature is not changed, you won't be able to see what's on the watch's screen.

A lot of the best fitness watches use reflective technology to allow information to be seen in any light. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra uses two displays to offer a full-color panel under a trans-reflective LCD panel.

It is possible to see in daylight and a vivid screen at the same time. I don't think that a watch that costs at least $450 and has "pro" in the name should not be considered a good watch.

The battery life is brought to my attention. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is one of the fitness watches that has long battery life.

The watch will have 80 hours of battery life. That would be wonderful. I will be holding my breath until we get some time to check it out and figure out how they got that number. Users may have to remove certain features if they hit the 80 hour mark.

If a true Pro user is also an outdoorsy adventure type, 80 hours isn't that long. A person going on a hiking trip doesn't need to worry about their watch dying because they have key features like gps and health monitoring. Most would rather not use an excellent solar charge to replenish the watch's battery.

Putting my money elsewhere

I don't think they have made enough changes to justify the price difference and the new Pro name. The new versions of the watch are some of the best on the market.

Even though it doesn't impress me, I don't want to swap out my watch for another one. Andrew Myrick is going to replace his watch with the Classic because it has a feature the Pro doesn't have.

I'm going to keep my money and buy the GOOGLE POUND WATCH. I'm not a huge fan of how the Wear OS 3 is handled by the company. I would like to see what the internet giant does with it.
