An 82-year-old had to go 18 days without his medication after an airline lost his luggage

A passenger on American Airlines lost his luggage and had to take an 18-day vacation without his medication and clothes.

George Moyer told Insider that he and his wife had to borrow things from other passengers on their cruise.

Moyer told Insider that he took three days of medication in his carry-on. I didn't have them after that. I have gout in my feet and it started to hurt after a few days.

The couple's trip was canceled twice because of the Pandemic.

Their first flight from Charlotte, North Carolina to Philadelphia was delayed by a few hours and they missed their connecting flight to Switzerland. The bags didn't make it after they landed. The flight details have been verified by an Insider.

American Airlines didn't do a good job getting us there. Moyer said that the staff was great at helping them find their bags on the cruise.
