Kyle Trask Touted by Twitter as Bucs' Successor to Tom Brady After Preseason Week 1

Kyle Trask made a strong impression in his preseason debut as a quarterback for the Buccaneers, but it wasn't enough as they lost to the Dolphins.

Trask passed for 258 yards and one touchdown.

In the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, he led the offense down the field with a chance to win the game. Miami won the game after Jose Borregales missed a field goal.

Even though the team lost, the fans still praised Trask for his performance and said that he'll be the team's quarterback in the future.

Considering Tom Brady retired for a short time this winter before announcing his return, it's not too early for fans of the team to think about life after Brady.

Trask was selected in the second round of the 2021 draft out of the University of Florida, where he had an impressive senior season in which he threw for 4,283 yards and 43 touchdown against eight turnovers.

Trask has yet to play in a regular season game. With Brady starting, Gabbert has been his backup.

He is seen as the future at quarterback in the bay area. If he continues to impress during the preseason, the Bucs might feel more confident about their future at the position.
