Following their contentious Western Conference Semifinal series, the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzles will meet again on Christmas Day.

One of the biggest days during the NBA's regular season is when the teams are tentative.

The Warriors won their first title of the year after ousting the Grizzles in the semifinals. The style clash between the two teams made their meetings different.

It wasn't until the 2022 playoffs that Golden State and Memphis would be considered rivals.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that the Memphis wing broke the code on a hard foul that resulted in a broken elbow.

When Ja Morant was knocked out of the series due to a bone bruise in his knee, Jordan Poole was questioned about his responsibility.

Without Morant, the Grizzles lost Game 4 by three points and won Game 5 by 39 points. Maybe they will knock out the NBA champion.

Warriors star Draymond Green said that Memphis' roster can be really special.

"The only thing I can do is give my respect to that team; they earned that. You know, there was a lot of talk in this series of fouls and this and that, and this should be reviewed and that should be reviewed. I think it really started to take away from what was a really great, great, series with two amazing teams."

After the conference semifinals, a war of words began.

Klay Thompson called Jaren Jackson Jr. a "bum" and a "clown" after he mocked the Warriors' "Strength in Numbers" slogan.

"I can't wait to retweet that thing. Freakin' bum."

The reply from Morant was followed by a reply from Green.

The NBA's second-best record of 56-26 was posted by the Memphis Grizzles. The Warriors are a great foil for them.

Golden State and Memphis are facing off on Christmas Day, which is a sign of how important the game is.
