Trump lawyer says she's told him all litigation involving the former president 'will stop' if he announces he's not running for office in 2024

A lawyer for Donald Trump said investigations into the former president would stop if he decided against running for president in four years.

If he's not leading in the polls, I say to him, "Mr. President, if you would like me to resolve all your litigation, you should announce that you are not running for office, and all." They want that.

She said that Trump was not surprised by the FBI raiding his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Habba hoped he ran. I told him that this will increase his support in his base because he always takes it too far. The Democrats can't get out of their own way.

Trump has said he would like to run for president in 2024. Kevin McCarthy told Trump to hold his announcement after the elections in November.

Habba brushed off Attorney General Garland's statement that he personally signed off on the search warrant. The Justice Department would move to unseal the warrant after Garland commented on the raid.

Habba said that Garland said nothing when he had to get up and explain himself.
