It was a good day for the north London club as they took all three points with a 4-2 victory overLeicester in the afternoon.
After William Saliba's own goal gave the Foxes hope in the second half, a mistake from Ward allowed Granit Xhaka to restore the two- goal lead for his side.
Brendan Rodgers' side found their way back into the game again in the 74th minute as James Maddison beat Ramsdale, though it was a case of dejavu when Gabriel Martinelli scored just over a minute later.
In a match which they dominated from start to finish, they took the game toLeicester. The Gunners were able to recover possession on a consistent basis due to the lack of an answer for Arteta's press.

They have to make sure they maintain concentration in future games.
Arteta made it clear from the start that he was going to attack. The home side created a lot of chances, but their pressing from the front was even better.
Ramsdale was quick to react to dangerous situations, as he was able to prevent the cross from reaching the back post. The ball went through his legs from a low angle and he should have done better with it.
Oleksandr Zinchenko often looked to stretch the play and took on the inverted wing-back role at some points in the game.
Gabriel looked comfortable throughout the match, though he didn't have much to do with what happened in the first 10 minutes.
While William Saliba headed the ball past his own goalkeeper when under pressure, it wasn't something that defined his overall solid performance in the heart of the defense.
As the Foxes looked to take advantage of him in his less-preferred position at right-back, Ben White stood up well to the task. Patson Daka wasn't able to make an impact when he was introduced.
A precise pass almost saw Xhaka open the scoring and Thomas Partey looked comfortable in the middle of the pitch, though the press rarely allowedLeicester to create anything notable in central areas.
He made a number of runs and eventually scored after Ward made a mistake. The cover provided by the Switzerland international was very strong.
As Arteta's side preferred to attack down the left channel, Odegaard was one of the quieter stars in the middle of the park. The defence was stretched by positive runs.
The 21-year-old forward constantly looked to challenge the defender and looked to get the better of the fight when isolating him. Gabriel Jesus should have picked out a strong run at the beginning of the game.
A sensational finish saw Gabriel Jesus loop the ball over Ward and into the net, and it wasn't long before he secured his brace with a close-range headed goal. The Brazil international was unstoppable on the day, playing a key role in all four goals as well as laying on two assists.
The England international ensured that White had some defensive cover by working hard at both ends of the field. Xhaka was close to converting one of the balls into the box.
As Arteta began to set up his side to watch the game out, Takehiro Tomiyasu was introduced for White.
When coming on, he was close to getting an assist with a precise ball into the box before the flag was raised.
Emile Smith Rowe came in for the last spell of the match.
Eddie Nketiah looked bright as he continued to run behind the defensive line.
