Stahelski revealed that his plan for the film involves the film being spoken in Japanese. Stahelski talked about doing the film in a way that was all in character. There is a complete Japanese cast. He was excited to bring the game to life for a wider audience because of his love of Japan. It is a story of finding a man, watching him change the world, or the world changing him. It is all the Joseph Campbell stuff that you would like in a story.
If more people watched subtitled films, they would be introduced to so many more amazing films. If the action and scope are good enough that subtitles won't matter, the director is optimistic that he can pull it off, even though he knows he has a hurdle ahead of him.
