According to the New York Post and Rich Cimini, the New York Jets quarterback has a knee injury.

Wilson is expected to be out for two to four weeks after undergoing surgery to fix his knee.

Wilson was limping after cutting on a scramble on first-and-10). He was helped to the locker room and didn't come back for the rest of the game.

Wilson was 3-of-5 passing for 23 yards.

In 13 games, the young quarterback completed 55.6% of his passes for 2,334 yards and nine touchdown. He had 185 yards and four scores.

If Wilson doesn't recover in time, Mike White and Joe Flacco could make a case to start in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.

White played in four games for the Jets in 2021, starting three of them. He completed 66.8% of his passes for 953 yards and five touchdown.

He has 14 years of experience in the National Football League and won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. He played in two games for the Jets last season, starting one and completing 64.3% of his passes for 338 yards and three touchdown.

He told reporters in August that he can still start.

I believe I can start. People that are close to the situation say that is good. I think I'm good enough to be a starter. That's what motivates me to be the best I can be.

If Wilson can't go in time for the first week of the season, it's possible that Flacco will get the nod.
