There is a possibility of an NBA Christmas Day game in the 2022-23 season.

The Dallas Mavericks are expected to play the Los Angeles Lakers at American Airlines Center on December 25th.

Christmas games are usually held despite the full schedule dropping next week.

The Lakers and Mavericks played on Christmas Day. Anthony Davis scored 28 points to lead the purple and gold to a victory.

The starting lineup for the Lakers included Davis, James, Gasol, Dennis Schrder, and Caldwell-Pope. The players came in off the bench.

Doncic scored 27 points for the Mavericks. The team's starting lineup included Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., Josh Richardson, and others.

The Mavericks and Lakers are very different teams entering the 2022-23 season, and some think the Lakers don't have what it takes to make the playoffs.

The Lakers missed out on the playoffs for the first time in over a year. Russell Westbrook didn't live up to the hype in his first season with the team as they struggled with injuries to Davis and James.

The Lakers haven't been able to make any significant changes to their roster due to limited salary cap space.

They could be in for a bad year.

The Mavericks made it all the way to the conference finals before falling to the Warriors.

The roster for another run to the finals was changed this summer with the addition of Christian Wood and JaVale.

If the Lakers don't improve from the 2020-21 season, it could be a less interesting match-up.
