The FBI searched the former president's Florida residence and the congressman filed articles of impeachment against the attorney general.
The attorney general approved a search warrant for the home of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, according to the resolution.
After the Justice Department and Trump's attorneys agreed, the warrant was made public.
According to the warrant, the former president is being investigated for violating the Espionage Act because the FBI secured classified materials that were taken to Mar-a-Lago.
Republicans accuse Justice of going after Trump for political reasons.
Her resolution states that Garland's attempt to unseal the search warrant for the home of former President Donald J. Trump constitutes an attempt to intimidate, harass, and potentially disqualify a political challenger to President Joe R. Biden, Jr.
The White House said that Biden did not know about the FBI's search.
It is not clear how many Republicans will support the resolution to impeach Garland.
