In an interview Friday, Deshaun apologized to the women who have accused him of sexual harassment.

"I want to say that I'm truly sorry to all of the women that I have impacted in this situation," he said during an in-house interview.

Before Friday night's preseason opener, the interview took place.

Prior to Friday, he had told reporters that he had no regrets about his actions during the massage sessions. During the Cleveland mini camp in June, he admitted that he regretted the impact the allegations had on the people around him, but he had no regrets about his actions.

On Friday, he changed his mind.

"The decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position, I would definitely like to have back," he said, "but I want to continue to grow and learn and show that I am a true person of character."

The suspension that he was given last week for violating the league's personal conduct policy could be longer. Peter C. Harvey, a former New Jersey attorney general, will hear the appeal from the National Football League. Harvey doesn't have a specific deadline to rule on the appeal, but he must work in an "expedited" way.

Robinson noted in her report that the reason she suspended him for six games was because he didn't express remorse.

25 women have filed civil lawsuits against him, accusing him of inappropriate conduct during massage sessions. From March 2020 to March 2021, the encounters were said to have taken place. Three first-round draft picks and a fully-guaranteed contract were sent to Houston by the Cleveland Indians in order to acquire the rights to Deshaun.

One of the 25 lawsuits was dropped after the judge ruled in favor of the people. Two other women didn't file lawsuits against him. One of the remaining lawsuits is still pending. In July, the Texans reached settlements with 30 women who made claims or were ready to make them against the NFL organization for its alleged "enabling" ofWatson's behavior

Since the 2020 season, he hasn't snapped. He was excited to play.

I don't know when I'll be able to get out there with those guys, so I want to make sure I keep that in my mind.

He said that he would use the suspension to improve himself.

He knows he has a lot of work to do to be ready to play whenever he can. I want to make sure that I'm growing as a person, as an individual, for my decisions on and off the field. I want to make sure that I'm evolving in the community as much as possible for the Cleveland community and beyond.
