A landlord in Las Vegas is accused of forcing a woman to have sex with him in order to rent a house. According to court records obtained by KTNV, AllanRothstein wrote out his demands in a contract he forced the woman to sign.
The property manager for the house, who was also a real estate broker at the time, pressured the tenant to say she didn't have a boyfriend or girlfriend who was larger, meaner, and more physically aggressive.
There are additional details in the contract. The woman was required to swear that she wasn't signing the document if she was under the influence of an incapacitating intoxicant, aphrodisiacs, or psychoactive substances.
According to housing lawyer Bruce Flammey, nobody has ever been under the influence of lobster. Where do you get a list like that?
The lawyer said that he's never seen anything like this before.
He did not take bar exams in law school. I have never seen anything like this before. I think there's more of these out there.
Any agreements or documents mentioned in the confession speak for themselves.
Flammey said that he doesn't want to talk about the document.
The landlord, who lost his real estate broker and property management licenses after the Real Estate Division completed its investigation, is now facing allegations of discrimination, harassment and fraud.
The woman and her five children were living in a hotel in order to find a home for the year. The family was approved for Section 8 and thought they were in luck.
Once you are approved, you have to find a residence that will be covered by the program within 60 days. She might not have had other options if she was in that 60-day window.
Sources told KTNV thatRothstein has done stunts with other tenants. He is accused of forcing a wrongful eviction after a woman refused to have sex with him.
He used the location of an auto parts store to list a fake address for his business. The state said the landlord made unwanted sexual advances when he had the tenant come to his home.
