The International Atomic Energy Agency is alarmed by Russia's bombing of a nuclear power plant in southeastern Ukraine. The power plant was knocked out by ten shells on Thursday.
They say that Russia is playing with fire and that it could lead to a nuclear disaster. Ukrainians rely on 15 nuclear reactor to supply half of its electricity, many of which have become targets of Russian weapons.
The UN Security Council was told this week that the IAEA must be allowed to conduct its mission to Zaporizhzhia as soon as possible.
Zelensky blamed Russia for the situation.
He said at the meeting that the restoration of nuclear safety for all of Europe was dependent on the complete withdrawal of Russians from the territory of the ZaporizhzhiaNPP.
Radiation levels are normal around the site.
Back in March, Russia began shelling the nuclear power plant.
The Chernobyl plant was taken over by Russian forces earlier this year, only to be abandoned weeks later.
According to CNN, the Zaporizhzhia facility is the largest nuclear plant on the planet, but it isn't leaking radioactive material yet.
Grossi told the Security Council that military action must stop immediately. Military actions close to a large nuclear facility could have very serious consequences.
The UN watchdog says the Ukrainian nuclear plant is facing a "grave hour".
