Anne Heche Dead at 53

Anne Heche died from injuries she sustained when she drove her car through a Los Angeles home.

The rep said that life support machines are keeping Anne's heart beating for the purpose of preserving her organs for donations. Anne doesn't have a brain function.

The actress was rushed to the L.A. area hospital in a coma and never woke up. She had a severe anoxic brain injury, which deprived her of oxygen to the brain.

Anne won an award for her work on the soap "Another World" and went on to play other roles in Hollywood.

"Donnie Brasco," "Volcano," "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "six days seven nights," "Return to Paradise," the "Psycho" remake, and "Wag the Dog" are some of the big screen movies Anne played in.

Anne did voice work for the TV show "The Legend of Korra."

Anne was a contestant on the show during the first year of the epidemic.

Anne dated Ellen for a number of years before they split in 2000.

Heche and Laffoon had a child together. James Tupper was her second child's father. They split after a decade together.

The story was broken by the gossip website. Anne was under the influence of drugs when she crashed through a house and caused a fire.

Anne suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Anne was older than 50.
