Multiple sets of documents marked top secret were seized by the FBI when they searched Mar-a-Lago on Monday.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the materials seized in the raid included 11 sets of classified documents. There is an abbreviation for top- secret/sensitive compartmented information in one group of files.
Four sets of top secret documents, three groups of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents were some of the other documents.
According to the newspaper, the agents took 20 boxes of items, along with binders of photos, one handwritten note and the "executive grant of clemency" for Roger Stone, a Republican political operatives whom Trump had pardoned.
There were items removed from Mar-a-Lago that contained information about the president of France.
According to the Journal, attorneys for the president argue that the materials were declassified before he left office. Trump has been critical of the Justice Department since he revealed the raid.
CNBC asked a spokeswoman for Trump if she would respond.
According to the Washington Post, the FBI was looking for nuclear documents in Trump's home.
The Justice Department will file a motion in court to make the search warrant public in order to protect the public's interest.
The wave of attacks on the FBI and DOJ that followed Trump's announcement about the raid was condemned by Garland.
The report on the search warrant and related materials was published less than an hour before the 3 p.m. deadline. The DOJ has a deadline to tell the judge if Trump's lawyers will oppose the motion to reveal the warrant.
