In the doctor's office, in people's homes, in their shopping carts, and now in their therapist's office, as well. Amazon Care now includes a partnership with a mental health company. Insider was the first to report the new offerings.

Behavioral health options can be found on the website. Mild anxiety can be responded to by primary care providers. Patients can be referred to other providers if they have more serious concerns. The website says that companies that use Amazon Care will be able to add Ginger as an optional add-on. The website states that health information is shared between the two companies.

It can be difficult for most people to find a traditional in-person therapist in the United States. Despite privacy risks, mental health apps have risen in popularity.

Amazon did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publication, even though they have not publicly announced their partnership.

Amazon Care is a virtual care service for Amazon employees in Seattle. Companies in all 50 states can now offer it to their employees.

The tech giant launched its own pharmacy in 2020 and has programs that integrate it into hospitals. The purchase of One Medical by Amazon was announced in July.

It's not just healthcare that Amazon is connecting into. Last week it signed an agreement to buy iRobot, a company that makes maps of the floor plans of people's homes. Amazon probably bought the company because of that, according to a smart home reviewer. Another thing that gives them a pretty complete picture of your daily life is the reach out from the tech company.
