According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, the monsoon season in Las Vegas is the wettest in a decade. The city received a total of.58 inches of rain on Thursday, bringing the season's total to 1.28 inches.

Climate change is caused by all the greenhouse gasses that humans have released into the atmosphere. Changes in the atmospheric and ocean currents are caused by rising temperatures. It is becoming more common in some areas. Heavy rain and flooding are happening in some places.

Nevada is either in the middle or the extreme. As the climate changes, it is expected to become more extreme with more flash flooding. Warmer air holds more water and releases more water when it rains.

Some people watching weren't as confident as the onlookers who cheered on the driver of the car in the video.

Floods can become worse in Nevada due to the dry soil. That allows more flooding to build up on top of the soil, like the one that happened in Death Valley last weekend, or the one that happened in Las Vegas.

A passenger on a Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada bus posted a video on social media showing the streets flooding with water.
