'If I lose to Conor Benn, I am finished' - Chris Eubank Jr

If he loses to Benn he will be finished in boxing.

Benn is going to fight two weight classes in order to fight Eubank Jr.

The weight cut to 157 lbs would leave him at 40% for the fight.

He said that if he lost to Benn he would be done.

He said that he would be 60 percent on the night and that would be enough to do whatever he wanted with his opponent.

The memory of their rivalry was always present even though they weren't present.

He gave a passionate speech about his decision to accept the fight and undergo a big weight cut.

I would never give anyone that kind of power to me. He said he didn't dislike the person. This fight is personal. I cannot forget the things my father was put through by his father.

I watched the injuries. He went to the hospital and lost part of his tongue. I watched my father hear from his son that he disliked him.

I cannot forgive these things. Our family names are at stake in this fight and we have to uphold them. It makes it personal.

Benn said it wasn't that deep.

'My dad sowed the seed'

Benn was seven years old when their fathers fought.

Benn said that his father put the idea of a fight in his head.

Hewed the seed. Benn said that Chris told him he beat him after one of his fights.

In their first meeting with the media, Eubank Jr. was the more relaxed of the two. Benn is a fighter who has spent a lot of time trying to get out of his father's shadow.

He is a copy of my father. There is a purpose for it. Benn believes his father won the second one and never had the trilogy.

I have a lot of paycheques in my career and more to come. It isn't about this fight. I have to make sure the score is correct.

Can the sons follow in their dad's footsteps?

This fight is expected to be a lot of fun.

There were also two large life-size cut outs flanking each fighter, complete with their own profiles and slogan.

Benn said "for legacy, for boxing", while Eubank Jr said "born rivals". The next room had a red carpet. Despite the mismatch on paper between the largely untested and smaller Benn and the battle-hardened and experienced Eubank Jr., it was still a big fight press conference.

The orator was always challenged by Benn, just as his father did 30 years ago. He thought a victory for his rival was impossible.

It was a testament to the selling power of the two fighters that Eddie Hearn mostly sat back for the press conference.

Benn and Eubank Jr put on an entertaining show for the cameras and the fight will attract a lot of attention. They chirped at each other as they faced off.

Their fathers' rivalry was one of the great rivalries of all time. The match-up was decided by the best of margins. The same fireworks can be produced by Benn and Eubank Jr.
