Swords Travel is looking to double its turnover in the next year and has hired a head of marketing partnerships.

After 10 years at dnata, Stillion joined as a business development manager for Yalago. This week, she started her new job.

Mark and Stuart Swords said they hoped the appointment would help fuel further growth for the agency, which currently has a retail shop in south west London and six associate agents and one affiliate based around the UK.

The business has seen an increase in turnover this year. Mark Swords wants to see the figure increase by 100%.

The tiered marketing scheme will give supplier partners access to different levels of digital promotion and social activity based on their budget and commitment.

Plans to cap the gold and silver categories to just eight suppliers will allow suppliers to become gold, silver or bronze partners.

He said that this year they are already trading way above what they did before the recession. As the business grows, we need a dedicated person who knows how to excel in this area. I worked with her at Travel2 and she has a background in travel marketing so we are very excited to have her join the business.

Mark said they wanted to increase the number of associates and affiliates. Six more associates and three more affiliates are what we want.

All of this has given us a great deal of excitement.

She said she was excited to get back into the core of the travel trade and focus on her passion for marketing.

When she first started in travel, she took on a more marketing focused role. They wanted to drive their marketing efforts as part of their expansion plan. I am very happy to be working with them.

I will be working with our partners to promote them to our clients.

Stillion set up BabyInBucks to help parents with day trip and activity ideas during the Pandemic and on vacation. She now has 11,000 followers on the photo sharing site.
