MultiVersus season 1 kicks off next week following delay

The first season of Warner Bros.' free-to-play take on a Super Smash Bros.-esque fighter will start on August 15th. The season was supposed to start on August 9th, but the studio decided to delay it.

The season start date was announced by Player First Games as well as the fact that Morty from Rick and Morty will be joining the MultiVersus roster on August 23rd. New modes and content will be added over the course of the season. It is not clear if the Rick half of Rick and Morty will be added during the season.

Quick Note: Everything we are bringing to you in Season 1 will not drop on the same day. New modes and content will be spread through the life of the Season. We'll continue to share dates on all the fun things to come!

In July, Multi Versus was launched. Rick and Morty will be joining an already packed roster that includes characters like Bugs Bunny, HarleyQuinn, and the Iron Giant. The game can be found on a number of platforms.
