Baseball will return to heaven tonight. Is it the state of Iowa?

Ray Kinsella, played by Kevin Costner in the movie "Field of Dreams," built a baseball field in the middle of his cornfields at the direction of a mysterious voice that told him.

At last year's inaugural game, Costner led the New York Yankees out of the corn and onto the field.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with the Yankees taking a one-run lead in the ninth. The joy was short-lived as Tim Anderson hit a two-run walk-off home run.

This year's version has a lot to live up to, and we'll be there every step of the way to chronicle it. We'll follow along with you here.

A father-son moment

Current and former Reds and Cubs players emerged from the cornfields in right to have a catch. They were met by Hall of Famers and former players at the infield. The first pitch was thrown to Johnny Bench.

"Hey dad, you want to have a catch?"
