After FBI agents executed a search warrant at their Mar-a-Lago home, former President Donald Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The home of the Trumps in Palm Beach, Florida, was searched by the FBI earlier this week. The National Archives asked the Justice Department to investigate whether Trump broke the law when he took classified government records with him to Mar-a-Lago, according to several reports.

Federal law enforcement has been criticized by Trump and his supporters.

The Attorney General defended the Justice Department and federal law enforcement during a press conference on Thursday.

The AG confirmed that the Justice Department tried to subpoena Trump before resorting to the search warrant, and that the department tried less intrusive methods to get the records. Garland said that the DOJ is trying to unseal the search warrant and that Trump is free to explain the reason for the warrant and an inventory of items that were seized from Mar-a-Lago.

Trump said his team was compliant with the investigation.

Good relationships had been established with my attorneys and representatives. If we had it, the government could have had anything they wanted. We were told to put an additional lock on the area. Everything was fine, better than most previous Presidents, and then, out of nowhere, Mar-a-Lago was raided, by large numbers of agents, and even'safecrackers.' They were well ahead of themselves. It's really crazy!

The former president said that federal investigators "rummaged" through the First Lady's closets when they executed the search warrant.

The first lady's clothes and personal items were searched by agents. The left area was a mess. Trump exclaimed, "WOW!"

The National Archives should take possession of any clothing worn for official state events after Trump's term.

The first lady's clothes may be given as a gift by a designer and accepted on behalf of the US government for official events. The National Archives store them.
