The new Photo Frame mode on Echo Show smart displays and Fire TVs removes ads and other clutter from your photo slideshow.

If you want to show your pictures, a dedicated digital photo frame or a smart display like the Amazon Echo Show is the way to go. This is due to the fact that Amazon has a lot of useful information on the screen, such as a recipe for egg salad or a news tip about a tomato shaped like a duck.

You can now control your Fire TV to show you only your pictures for three hours.

Photo Frame mode hides all ads, calendars, and weather notifications to become a photo-only slideshow

In the US, the UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, and Australia, the digital photo frame feature is now available on all Fire TVs.

Say "Alexa, start Photo Frame" and you'll get a three-hour slideshow featuring your Amazon photos, Facebook photos, or a collection of stock images. If you want to know how to get your photos to show up in these albums, read my article on how to use a digital photo frame.

The new Photo Frame mode hides ads and calendar from the public. There is a dateline in the bottom right that shows when the picture was taken and which album it was from.

The Photo Frame mode strips away the digital clock and weather and just includes a dateline for the image.

You can choose which albums the Photo Frame mode uses in the device settings. Select from Daily Memories, This Day, Favorites, Recents, and other options that come from your Amazon Photos account. You can connect a Facebook account here or use your phone to take pictures.

It's easy to start a slideshow with Photo Frame because you don't have to remember the name of the album. On the standard homescreen, a large clock takes up a quarter of the picture, and you still get an ad for an Amazon service, no matter how many of the over 30 home you live in.

It will only do this for three hours before reverting to the standard home screen. Let us decide if we want to keep it on permanently.
