Discovery of small armoured dinosaur in Argentina is first of its kind

The discovery of a small armored dinosaur in southern Argentina is believed to be 100 million years old.

They said that the Jakapilkaniukura would have had rows of discs on its neck and back to protect it. It was similar to a house cat in size and weight.

The remains were found near a dam in Ro Negro province. jakapil was described in a study.

The discovery of jakapil marked a first-of-its-kind discovery of an armored dinosaur. It's part of a group of dinosaurs that include a tank-like ankylosaurus covered in armour and wielding a club-like tail.

A partial skeleton of jakapil was found along with 15 tooth fragments that looked like iguana teeth.

It's a surprise that Jakapil is from the time of the dinosaurs. It was the first time in the southern hemisphere that such a thing had been done.
