Jennette McCurdy says she cried on the last day of filming 'iCarly' because she was afraid her and Miranda Cosgrove's friendship would end

On her last day on the show, she was emotional because she was worried that her friendship with Miranda would end once the show ended.

The creator of " Sam & Cat" and "i Carly", Dan Schneider, created both of the shows.

The star detailed her bad experiences as a star at the network in her new memoir. She talked about forming a lasting friendship with the person who played her on-screen best friend.

"i Carly" ran for six seasons between 2007 and 2012 and McCurdy was worried about how her and Cosgrove's dynamic would change when the show ended.

Miranda is sad. I'm really sad. Both of us are crying. We can't stop crying. I don't think it's that "i Carly's ending" for me. Today is not the last day we will do 'i Carly'.

The actress said that she was happy to say goodbye to the project that made her feel like she was doing the same thing over and over again.

She doesn't know what will happen to her friendship with Miranda. We've got so close. Like sisters, but without the passive aggression and weird tensions. I think female friends are catty and backstabby, but that's not the case with Miranda.

It's always been simple with Miranda. Our friendship is not bad.

They had to blow their noses prior to filming their final scene.

She said that the sadness took both of them over. We are holding each other and crying.

I don't want our friendship to end with 'i Carly' because I don't like that I know Miranda through the context of that show.

Since "i Carly" ended, McCurdy said that she and Cosgrove's friendship became stronger, with the pair hanging out "three or four times a week."

She said that her friendship with Cosgrove was a source of strength.

The actors were so close that one of them, McCurdy, was able to talk about her eating issues.

When it was suggested that I tell a few trusted friends, she was known for a while. Miranda has been very supportive since that time.

Cosgrove was by her side when she met her dad for the first time and drove her to the hospital when her mom was sick.

In her book, McCurdy wrote that she and her costar "drifted apart" in the past and that she reached out to her to join the "i Carly" revival series.

McCurdy decided not to reprise her role due to her mental health and happiness.
