PennLive reported that the FBI paid visits to several Republican Pennsylvania lawmakers on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sources told the news outlet that the subpoenas or visits mainly focused on gathering information about the congressman.
The phone of one of the key figures in the Justice Department's probe into attempts to overturn the 2020 election was seized on Tuesday.
Official spokespersons for members of the Pennsylvania Capitol told PennLive that they could not confirm if anyone received a subpoena."I am unaware of any FBI presence in the Capitol yesterday," said a spokesman for the Republican caucus. We wouldn't comment on a potential or ongoing investigation if House members were contacted by the FBI.
