A Texas State University student who found a baby in a trash can and covered in ants while on vacation in Haiti will be adopting the child.
Jimmy Amisial traveled to Haiti in order to see his mom. He was a student at Texas State University and taking a break from his studies. He decided to go to the orphanage because he used to volunteer there as a child. A group of people are gathered around a trash can.

Amisial took the baby home to his mother after he found the baby in a trash can covered in ants.
He said he was unaware that his life was about to change forever.
The people were arguing about what to do with the baby. Everyone was staring at him and nobody wanted to help him. I had to help him because he was crying and had no clothes on.

Elicie and Amisial washed, clothed, and fed the baby before calling the police. Amisial was asked by the judge if he would like to adopt the baby and if he would be the legal guardian.
I was trying to make a decision when I was asked to raise him. Amisial's family has always struggled to make ends meet and he was already behind on his university fees.
The poor child was facing a lifetime of uncertainty because he didn't have a dad. He said that something inside told him that this had happened for a reason. You don't have to know what to do, you just have to be prepared.
The little child was raised by Amisial and he became his guardian. He has been living in Texas and studying in Gonaives, Haiti, where his mother is based. He wants to adopt him.
Seeing him grow has been enjoyable. Amisial said that he is a joy to be with. The kids in the orphanage love him and I love him as if I were his own. He's a special boy.
Amisial wanted to become his dad. Amisisal doesn't know when the adoption will be completed due to the $30,000 needed. Emilio is young.
