Beginning December 8th in the US, Disney will be increasing the price of Disney Plus to $10 per month. As the company looks to restructure its pricing options, it will soon include an ad supported tier.

The price of Disney's subscription to Hulu is going up. The ad-free tier will cost more than the ad-supported version. The new prices go into effect on October 10. The monthly price for unbundled Disney Plus streaming was raised from $6.99 to $9.99 in July.

Bundled plans are affected by the price increases. Users with an ad-free Disney Plus subscription and an ad-supported plan will see their prices go up. Disney is introducing a bundle that includes Disney Plus and Hulu with ads. Disney Plus, with no ads, will be priced at $19.99 per month.

In the last quarter, Disney reported adding 8 million new subscribers to Disney Plus, around the same time thatNetflix announced a decrease in subscribers for the first time in a decade. Disney's direct-to-consumer division, which includes the streaming units, lost more money in the third quarter than in previous years. Disney lost money due to rising production and programming costs at Disney Plus and higher sports programming costs at Disney Plus.
