Donald Trump's decision to plead the Fifth Amendment in response to the New York attorney general's questions sent many people down memory lane. The former president dislikes people who invoke their rights to self-incrimination. He told an Iowa rally in 2016 that the mob had the right to refuse to testify. Why are you taking the Fifth Amendment if you are not guilty? During his 1990 divorce trial from Ivana, he took the Fifth 97 times. The news that he would use the same amendment he trashed was quite amusing. They brought up the past many times. “If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”—Donald Trump (who just invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination in the civil case re: his business dealings) Can’t wait to hear the excuse he and his MAGA sycophants come up with for this one…
August 10, 2022 is the date of the next election.
Do we believe what Trump has often said about people who take the 5th, or nah?

If you support Trump's use of the Fifth Amendment then you must also support the DOJ's use of the Fourth Amendment.

Life happens fast:Trump 2017: “The mob takes the Fifth... If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”
Trump today: "I declined to answer the questions under the rights and privileges afford to every citizen [i.e. Fifth Amendment] under the US Constitution."

Donald Trump has the complete right to invoke the Fifth Amendment.
We have the complete right under the First Amendment to mock him relentlessly for it after all the trash he talked in 2016.
