The star of "Ted Lasso" said that he didn't have much time to get in shape for his part in the movie.

In a new interview, the actor talked about how he was cast as Hercules in the fourth "Thor" movie. The actor and writer said that he was busy with other projects when the interest came out of the blue.

He wasn't sure what they wanted to speak to him about when he met with them.

The end-credits scene of the movie showed that RussellCrowe's Zeus was alive and that he wanted his son, Hercules, to make humans fear gods again.

They turn around and say it's Hercules. I asked, "What?" Are you serious? Is it possible that you are having sex with me? This is a wind-up. It was as shocking to me as it has been to other people.

The actor said that he had to physically prepare for his role in the movie.

I asked Taika if he was like a skinny comedian. The man remembered. I asked when the film was going to be filmed. I was like, "I'll do my best, but two weeks feels like a long time." I am doing 400 push-ups that day. I was strong enough to blow up. I did everything I could.

In the end-credits scene, there were more possibilities for the story of the god of thunder. There are no follow-up projects yet, but the film concluded with a title card that said that the film would continue.

The actor said that he was surprised and delighted by the positive response from fans regarding his appearance.

"Who knows if anything will come of it, who knows, but it was fun and I'm happy that people seem to have enjoyed it," he said.
