Former NFL RB Frank Gore Charged with Assault in Domestic Violence Investigation

Frank Gore has been charged with simple assault in connection to a domestic violence investigation.

In June, the 39-year-old retired from the National Football League. He retired as a member of the 49ers after signing a one-day contract.

Gore spent his first 10 seasons with the Niners and is the franchise's all-time leader in rushing. The five-time Pro Bowler ran for the third-most yards in the history of the National Football League.

Gore was a player for the New York Jets. He lost a split decision to a former NBA star in an exhibition before winning his professional debut in May.
