Musk once said his money will be the "last out" of the company, but he's selling a lot of stock again.

Musk unloaded a large amount of his shares in April. According to regulatory filings published on Tuesday, he has sold an additional 7,924,107Tesla shares.

The sales happened between August 5 and August 9.

Musk confirmed the news on his verified account. It is important to avoid an emergency sale ofTesla stock if the deal is forced to close and some equity partners don't show up.

Musk answered "yes" when asked if he would buy the stock again if the deal didn't close.

Musk claimed that the assessment of how many bots there are on the platform was fake. There is no idea if the deal will go through or not.

While Musk's reasons for the sale do make sense, he did say in April that he doesn't plan any further sales ofTesla stock, so this news might not sit well with investors Don't count on Musk buying back those shares very soon, because the trial between Musk and Twitter is scheduled to start on October 17 in Delaware, and it might take a while to resolve.
